i sometimes have problems understanding lyrics... i get words stuck in my head that i know aren't right, but i can never hear anything but them.
so during this part of circus:
when you're sleeping/ you'll be sorry that you did/ i've got no feeling(s)/i've
got ___________
what is said there?
i can only hear 'ive got my hot tub lid.'

I think I know that part, but since I can't listen to the song right now (and am not at my own computer where I've tried to type out the lyrics) I can't tell you. If I don't reply to this now, I'll forget about replying to it later tonight..so yeah, I'll edit this later tonight.

By any chance do you have a decent quality (112 or higher) mp3 of it? Mine's not too great (84).

hmph. I've listened to that bit 15 times in succession and this is the best I can come up with:

'i've got no feelings, i've got my head chop-- ehh'

I think I'm more confused than when I started.
do I even have the chorus right? this is what I've always heard: 'hold on/ for the end is coming sooner than belongs/ the time has come/ and life you know has got you on the run.'

I always thought it was 'the end is coming soon; it won't be long'

Ah, I might as well just post what I have so far with the song....

Circus (guessing)

oh

lately ive thought about the things that you have said
and i've wondered quite a bit just what you might(may?) have read
out from the inside where the future's much too bright
i heard you crying loud but that dont make it right

hold on cause the end is coming soon; it wont be long
the time has come and the (a labrador? liking?) has got you on the run

oh

so if you ever feel the least bit insecure
ill bring a dog to you and set it at your door
'cause when you're sleeping you'll be sorry that you did
ive no feelings
but I've got  __________(no dog here? yeah?)

[chorus]

oh

[chorus]

I know that's messed up and sorry I don't know the part after all, but maybe that will help. I have a feeling it involves the dog, but even if I'm wrong, the same thing at the door is mentioned in that line. If anyone has better/correct guesses on any parts, feel free to tell me.

the time has come and the (a labrador? liking?) has got you on the run
...the life you know has got you on the run...

or it might be 'the life you love'
