Just wondering if anyone has the original ep or the April 26 Exit/In show and would be willing to share...  I'd really appreciate it.

The self-titled EP pops up on Ebay once in a while.  You might also want to check at Phonoluxe.

As for the April 26th show, there was a rumor that a high-quality recording was made.  However, it hasn't been mentioned since then.  Since the band is working in the studio, I'm wondering if we'll ever get this show.  Does anyone know anything about it?

I think the band made a recording of the Exit/In show straight from the sound board (correct terminology? I'm one of the few non-recording industry majors here). I don't think it will be released to anyone unless it's in some kind of official format. But we can hope (and beg and plead).

please please please!!! seems how i missed that epic one of a kind show i could sure use a recording to make me more depressed about missing it.

an official release would be pretty cool. live albums are always great.

I can't think of any official live albums that I have on my shelf. U2 'Rattle and Hum' and REM's 'New Adventures in Hi-Fi' might qualify as hybrids. Anyway, of all that I have owned in the past and all that I have experienced elsewhere, I tend to think a high quality bootleg is better than an officially produced live album. Maybe it's because they still try to polish up the live albums and delete some of the band's dialog. Maybe it's because they won't include some of the more obscure songs a band might do in concert on a major release.

I don't know, it's early.

well the pearl jam concert series for the 200 tour kicks ass because it has the entire concert on all 70+ concerts. (i have 27 now)

i like live albums because they show the true energy of a band....like cheap trick's live at budakan....the studio versions are those songs are good but they play them live with much more intensity. same with the cure live album 'show' the live versions showcase the songs in a more raw setting rather than polished up studio like the song doing the unstruck (live version is so much better)

but YADADADA is right...high quality boots are great because they show more of the true concert setting.

fav live a;bums include
song remains the same - led zeppelin
live at leeds - the who
wings over america - paul mccartney and wings
live at budakan - cheap trick
show - the cure
pearl jam - live on two legs
pink floyd - pulse

sonic youth and the flaming lips both need to put out a live album.
