Dont know whether to be happy or annoyed with this:
Ben Folds is playing with (opening for?) Weezer at the Manicupal on July 21st.
either way, im still going to make it out even if make believe is rather lackluster (though not as most of you make it out to be).

That's a pretty sweet (albeit odd) pairing. Eight years ago it would've been the show of the year. Are they doing a whole tour together? Does this mean the Pink Spiders aren't opening for Weezer after all?

I'm there as well! I can't believe I'm actually going to be able to make a big concert this summer! Not so much a fan of Ben's Fold, but I've been wanting to see Weezer for a while now. I'm assuming this will sell out, right?

* On a completely unrelated note, Dancin In the District this year sucks, with the exception of Cake

Cake can't get enough of Dancin in the District. Haven't they done it three times now?

As for the Weez, Oasis at Madison Square Garden is my concert for the summer. I saw them at Municipal on the green album tour and it was really awesome, but "Make Believe" doesn't exactly pump me up to see them.

I could change my mind though.

I would say it is highly related when you consider it's on the same night.

By the way, what's the source that says Ben Folds is opening that show? I looked on benfolds.com, weezer.com, ticketmaster.com, and pollstar.com and found nothing.

I did see that NIN will grace Nashville on Halloween this year. That should be cool.

That was one hell of a concert, not a dull moment. This concert was unbelievebly hot (in a temperature sense). There were points where i could barely breath! There was some asshole who was trying to show off to his friend by pushing people back from the front....he was severely beaten moments later. it wa quite weird, there seemed to be a lot of beefy people shoving their way forward. Loads of crowdsurfers, one of which I had no idea was coming and actually landed on me! Overall it was one of the best concerts I've seen/experienced in a long time. Let's see if KOL can top this.

Im looking forward to this show whether Folds is there or not. It will beat seeing them a few years ago with fucking Dashboard Confessional, i would hope. Ive been digesting Make Believe recently and while the lyrics are a bit off, "We Are All On Drugs" is a fun listen i think.

It was cool to see Sparta, too, though. Of course, suffering through Pat's side project, the Space Twins, and Rooney on the side stage pretty much cancelled everything else out.

Weezer's setlist had about 6 songs from Make Believe and a lot from the Blue Album, they also played Hash Pipe and Tired of Sex.

Yep. Mr. Folds is officially opening. For that reason, I'll probably go.
